Travel into the world of the New Testament as we walk in the footsteps of Paul and the early disciples where they took the Good News to the Nations. Paul was born in Asia Minor (modern day Turkey) and approximately 50% of the New Testament was written either to or from here. Turkey offers some of the most awe-inspiring archaeological sites in the ancient world. This study trip prioritizes a comfortable journey with relaxing lunches each day at local restaurants and deluxe hotels in iconic destinations, many by the sea. We will study together in ancient theaters and synagogues, and among massive columns and stunning landscapes, as we engage the Biblical text in its context throughout Turkey, including all seven cities mentioned in Revelation. In Turkey, we will study how the first generations of Jewish Christians shared the Good News of Jesus to a foreign, Greco-Roman audience.
Filled with beautiful landscapes, rich history, and an abundance of awe-inspiring archaeological sites, traveling in Turkey will open your eyes to not only what God was doing in the first century, but also to what God is doing now. A theme woven at the beginning and end of Revelation is that of preparation. In essence, Jesus says, “I am coming soon! Get ready and live in the way I have taught and shown you.”
